 DOA Course Details-Note: In class not available in 2021. Resuming in 2022.

We offer intimate classes and a great learning environment where students can get one-on-one attention by a professional dental instructor. Other details of our program are;

  • Courses offered on either Monday & Tuesdays 10:00am to  2:30pm or 

  • Course is considered part time and provides over 400 hours of training with over 140 classroom hours with hands-on training and a work placement assistance practicum (50 hours total), which is required to receive a certificate. Aprox. 80+ hours of Dentrix training hands-on. This course is considered a full time course (online and in class).

  • We offer hands-on, current,  advanced dental software training with Dentrix Software Systems. Student is involved in a Dentrix workshop.

  • Tuition is $3499.99 which is all inclusive (tuition, exam fees). Student must purchase their textbook for the course. 

  • A $135.00 admin/processing fee is required to register and secure your seat. This is non-refundable.

  • High school Diploma or Post Secondary Diploma required to process registration. If non applicable a Mature Student Test is required.

  • Course provides practical training from a dental professional with over 22 year's experience in all areas of the dental office.

  • Small, intimate classes are offered allowing more one-on-one training and providing attention to each student's learning curve.

  • A Professional Resume Workshop and interview training are also included to help you to prepare for the interview process in the professional working world.

  • Course tuition is  affordable, compared to other administration courses.

  • Dental terminology, dental procedures, numbering systems and different dentition's.

  • Tooth charting and universal charting symbols both manual and electronic.

  • Insurance claims, both manual and electronic.

  • Treatment planning and pre-determination forms for insurance companies. General knowledge. For more in-depth training see our "Treatment Coordinator" program.

  • Insurance codes, insurance companies.

  • Legal concepts, privacy act and dental office ethics.

  • Infection control and IPC protocols in sterile bay and operatories.

  • Inventory and dental office record management.

  • Office policy procedures and creating a dental office manual.

  • Patient record keeping, and appointment management for all practices.

  • Creating a balanced office schedule.

  • Accounts receivable and payable in a dental office.

  • Efficient reception desk skills and protocols to manage the front end operations.

  • Effective patient rapport and learning excellent communication skills.

  • Verbal skills workshop and critical thinking scenarios to assist the students in using dental terminology with confidence.

  • Dealing with difficult patients and situation that occur in the dental office. 

  • Hands-on dental software program workshops using Dentrix Software program.

  • Guidance in creating a professional resume as well as providing an interactive interview workshop.

  • Guest speakers and guest interviewer during the program.
