Melissa Parcels RDH/Instructor/Consultant

 

Melissa is the owner and Director of M. Dent College and founded the college in 2013. She is also the owner of Solo, The Dental Hygiene Spa in Calgary. She was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and moved to Calgary in 2008. She spent years as a dental assistant and administrator prior to going into dental hygiene school and opening her own practice in 2012.

 

She graduated with the "Student of Excellence" award along with the "Golden Scaler" clinical award for The Canadian College of Dental Health. She has completed several expanded learning skills and earned certifications including;  laser gum therapy, laser whitening,  Nitrous Oxide sedation and her local anesthesia certification. She has been nominated for the 2015 Alberta Women's Entrepreneur award for her standards to excellence in business and in 2018 Top 40 Under 40 nomination. Solo, The Dental Hygiene Spa is the Dental Hygiene clinic Melissa owns and it has been nominated in 2018 & 2019 for "Calgary Top Choice Award".

 

She has always been passionate about teaching others and has a great skill in her delivery.  She is dedicated to her craft and to each student that comes through her program. She has also spent years in the dental field consulting with dentists and dental practices by helping them to implement change and new policies and good disciplines. She enjoys a challenge and has a great understanding of protocols that enhance a dental practice and bring rewards and revenues.

 

She believes in the big dream, hard work and self improvement. She looks forward to meeting you as a student or potential client with M. Dent. College.
